Reading the difference: 4 patterns and what they mean

The interesting reading happens in the space between your two hands. Here are the four patterns Cheiro and Benham described — and what each one says about you today.

1. The hands match closely

If your two palms look essentially the same — same major lines, similar mounts, similar marks — you are someone living in close alignment with how you were built. Your inner and outer life agree. You haven't drifted far from your original blueprint.

Modern reading: this is the temperament of someone who trusts their nature and has built a life that fits it. The risk is small: occasionally, matching hands belong to someone who has never been forced to grow because they never strayed from their starting kit.

2. The dominant hand is significantly stronger

If your dominant hand has deeper, clearer, more developed lines than your non-dominant — especially a more pronounced head, fate, or life line — you are someone who has made more of yourself than you were born with. You have built; you have grown; the life you are leading is, in real terms, more substantial than the one you were given.
